Boro man tailgates, then kicks victim’s car: Brown

FRESH MEADOWS — Police arrested a motorist last Thursday morning for allegedly wrecking another person’s car during a road rage incident, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

Roberto Soto, 30, of Peck Avenue, was arraigned Friday on several charges, including driving without a licence, reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident, the Queens DA’s office said.

The day before, around 10:50 a.m., he was driving in his black Mercedes-Benz on the on-ramp to the Long Island Expressway near Utopia Parkway and hit another motorist’s car, the criminal complaint said. The other motorist was going to pull over, but Soto allegedly began tailgating him, according to the criminal complaint.

Soto, while traveling between 60 and 70 miles per hour, bumped the other driver’s car again, the complaint said. The defendant allegedly continued to tailgate the victim till Francis Lewis Boulevard and the Horace Harding Expressway, where he got out and began kicking the victim’s car, according to the complaint.
