SPRINGFIELD GARDENS — Police were looking for a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman who was coming off a bus on Christmas Eve.
The suspect, described as a black man between 18 and 24 years old and 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, followed the 47-year-old victim after she got off the vehicle at the corner of 140th Avenue and Coombs Street around 6:40 p.m., police said.
The man allegedly sexually assaulted her in the vicinity and fled the scene, but surveillance footage was taken of him before he escaped, according to investigators. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored coat, dark-colored pants, white sneakers and a black back pack, investigators said.
