Dental worker forged salary for rent: Brown

FRESH MEADOWS — An employee of a dental clinic allegedly forged papers from her boss and lied about her salary to try and rent a 171st Street residence, according to the criminal complaint filed by the Queens district attorney.

Tamica Ford, 35, of 143-19 84th Road in Jamaica, turned in an application to a real estate firm that included a paper that Ford said was handwritten and signed by the owners of the dental clinic, according to the complaint.

The letter said Ford made $40 per hour and had been with the company since 2007, the DA said.

But a coworker at the company questioned by police said Ford made $15 an hour and had only worked at the company since 2011, the DA said.

Ford was charged with forgery, the DA said.
