SOUTH JAMAICA — Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a blaze in South Jamaica Sunday, a spokesman for the FDNY said.

Both were taken to Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn for their injuries, the FDNY said.

Emergency officials were called to an abandoned home on Rockaway Boulevard near 143rd Street just before 8 a.m., the FDNY said.

The blaze was mostly in the roof of the home and the fire was listed as out at 8:53 a.m., according to the FDNY.

Fire officials said Tuesday that a cause had not yet been determined.
