Cops seek man who pretended to be officer

JACKSON HEIGHTS — Cops were asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for impersonating a police officer.

According to the NYPD, two suspects armed with switchblade knives entered a victim’s apartment while identifying themselves as officers March 9. The suspects demanded money, to which the victim complied.

Cops identified one of the suspects as Julian Rodriguez, 25, a Hispanic male described as 5-foot-7 and weighing 169 pounds with short black hair.

Anyone with information in regards to Rodriguez’s whereabouts and the robbery is asked to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
