FOREST HILLS — Police arrested a man last week who they said flashed a gun before knocking over several banks across Queens.

John Lopez, of 84-17 109th Ave. in Ozone Park, was charged with robbing banks in Forest Hills, Flushing and Glen Oaks throughout April, according to the NYPD.

On April 23, Lopez walked into a Bank of America branch at 39-12 Main St. in Flushing, and passed a teller a note demanding money before fleeing, according to the NYPD.

Then on April 26 at 1:30 p.m., Lopez entered a Chase Bank, at 99-00 Metropolitan Ave., passed a teller a note and then flashed a black handgun, police said.

Lopez got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, but just an hour later he entered a Capital One bank at 252-25 Union Tnpk. and pulled the same routine, according to the NYPD.
