TimesLedger Newspapers

CORONA — A Jackson Heights man had one on the rocks at a 37th Avenue bar this month, but it landed him in the back of a cruiser, according to the Queens district attorney.

On May 14 at about 2 a.m., an officer observed Felipe Bilves, 24, of 95-30 34 Ave., heave a rock through the front window of El Centenario, near the corner of 96th Street, according a criminal complaint from the DA’s office.

The window shattered and Bilves tried to run, but was no match for the NYPD, the complaint said, although Bilves attempted to flail his arms to avoid being put into manacles.

He was charged with resisting arrest and criminal mischief, the complaint said.
