Today’s news:

DA, cops work hard to stop drugs

TimesLedger Newspapers

Thank you for your June 7-13 editorial “Ghost Busters,” in which you commend the hard work and dedicated efforts of the NYPD and district attorney’s office in taking down two drug gangs in southeast Queens last month.

Drug investigations pose serious challenges and risks for law enforcement professionals, but experience has taught us that a team approach of police and prosecutors working together from the outset results in stronger cases and, ultimately, conviction and incarceration.

Your readers can be assured of our unwavering commitment to stop those who would flood our streets with drugs and gun violence and to make all of our communities safer for their law-abiding residents.

Richard Brown
