Woman found dead in Far Rock by the shore

FAR ROCKAWAY — Police said they responded to a call in Far Rockaway Saturday where they found a woman dead outside near Beach 17th Street and the shoreline.

Police described the victim as a black or Hispanic female in her 40s. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death, and there appeared to be no signs of trauma, police said.

There were no arrests and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
