Suspect sought by cops in robbery of boro bank

JACKSON HEIGHTS — The New York Police Department was seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect who was wanted in connection with a bank robbery within the 115th Precinct, police said.

According to police, the suspect entered an Amalgamated Bank, at 78-01 37th Ave., July 19 around 3 p.m. and demanded money from a teller via a note. The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank with an unknown amount of money, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black man around 35 years old, standing 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white striped shirt with sunglasses and a blue baseball cap, police said.

There were no injuries sustained as a result of the incident, police said.
