Cops on lookout for MidVil bank robber

MIDDLE VILLAGE — The NYPD was seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man suspected of robbing a Middle Village bank earlier this month.

The police said the suspect walked into the Chase Bank, at 74-03 Metropolitan Ave., around 5:45 p.m. Aug. 10 and allegedly passed the teller a demand note.

When the teller did not comply the suspect fled, police said.

The suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male between the ages of 25 and 30, about 6 feet tall and weighing 175-200 pounds.

He was seen wearing a black shirt with a white T-shirt underneath, sunglasses and a baseball cap, police said.
