WOODSIDE HOUSES — A newborn girl merely a few hours old was found abandoned in Woodside Houses Sunday night, police said.
Authorities said police discovered the child after a 911 came in at around 11:27 p.m. The baby, who is white, was lying in a sheet in a grassy area behind 50-07 Broadway, police said.
EMS who responded took the baby to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where she remains in stable condition, police said.
Her parents are not currently known and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
