Parks worker killed at Flushing athletic center: NYPD

FLUSHING — A seasonal Parks Department employee allegedly stabbed another worker to death Tuesday at the Al Oerter Recreation Center, the NYPD said.

Cops said the suspect, a 51-year old male, was arrested after his 31-year old male coworker was stabbed in the chest at around 3 p.m., according to the NYPD.

The victim was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was pronounced dead, police said.

As of press time, neither men had been identified and the suspect had not been formally charged, according to the police. The investigation was on going.
