ROSEDALE — The NYPD was asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of a Capital One Bank.
Police said the suspect walked into the bank, at 145-15 243rd St., around 11:30 a.m. Sept. 5 and passed a teller a note demanding money.
The teller handed over an unknown amount of cash and the suspect fled, police said.
The suspect was described as a 25-year-old black male standing 5 feet 9 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging on to the Crime Stoppers website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are kept strictly confidential.
