Woman stole pocketbook, used credit card: NYPD

LONG ISLAND CITY — Police were searching for a woman suspected of grand larceny, the NYPD said.

On the afternoon of Sept. 4, a 28-year-old woman had her pocketbook stolen from underneath a desk inside 36-11 21st St., police said.

A short time later on the same day unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s credit and debit cards at the Sapago Jewelry Store, at 31-15 Steinway St., according to authorities. The NYPD described the suspect as a black woman in her 30s with black hair and wearing a pink shirt.
