Forest Hills street to be co-named for Ferraro

Former vice presidential candidate and congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro will have a street in Forest Hills co-named after her.

City Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz (D-Forest Hills) will honor the late Forest Hills congresswoman and first female vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro with a street co-naming Sunday, Oct. 28., at 10:30 a.m.

Koslowitz will co-name Austin Street as “Geraldine Ferraro Way” in a ceremony honoring the life and achievements of the dedicated public servant who broke through gender gaps.

Friends and family of Ferraro, along with elected officials and community members, are expected to attend.
