MIDDLE VILLAGE — Police were looking for a man wanted in connection with knocking over a Middle Village bank and have released security images showing the suspect.

On Sept. 28 just before 3 p.m., the man walked into the Cross County Savings Bank, at 80-10 Eliot Ave., and passed a note to a teller demanding cash, police said.

The teller complied and forked over an undetermined amount of money before the man fled, according to the NYPD.

The suspect is described as a roughly 6-foot white man between the ages of 35 and 50 weighing 150 to 160 pounds, according to police. He is seen in the photo wearing thick glasses, a red wig, a gray hoodie and a blue New York Yankees cap, the NYPD said.

Those with information should contact NYPD’s Crimestoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), visiting its website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577.
