ASTORIA — Authorities were on the lookout for a thief who snatched a man’s iPhone in one of Astoria’s busiest corridors last month before fleeing the scene, the NYPD said.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was on Steinway Street and Broadway at 7:04 p.m. Oct. 16 when he showed his iPhone to another man, police said. The second man ended up taking it and running off, police said.
The suspect is white, has blond hair, is about 20 to 23 years old and stands 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inch tall, police said.
He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans, police said.
