Vehicle crash kills man on Thanksgiving Day

A 53-year-old man was killed after the car he was driving collided with a median the Grand Central Parkway, according to police.

FOREST HILLS — A car crash on the Grand Central Parkway killed a 53-year-old man on Thanksgiving, police said.

The man was driving a 2011 Honda Accord eastbound near the Jackie Robinson Parkway interchange at about 3:30 a.m. when he lost control of his car, hit a median, hit another car also traveling eastbound and finally struck another median, cops said.

Police said the man was taken to New York Hospital Queens, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The operator of the second car was treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization, cops said.

Police said no criminality was suspected in the crash.
