CORONA — Police were looking for two men wanted in connection with a possible early morning hate crime that occurred on 46th Avenue.

On Nov. 24 at about 5:30 a.m., a 70-year-old man was walking near 111th Street when two Hispanic men in their late teens or early 20s stopped the senior and asked if he was Muslim or Hindu, according to the NYPD.

The duo then assaulted the man, who was taken to Elmhurst Hospital with facial lacerations, police said.

One suspect was described as having a dark ponytail and wearing a light blue jacket, dark pants and dark shoes, while the other had short, dark hair and was wearing a dark jacket, a gray-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and light-colored sneakers, according to police.
