Community Prevention Alternatives, a nonprofit, and former state Senate candidate John Messer are set to hold a job fair in Flushing Friday.
The Community Job Fair and Career Expo is set to take place at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel, located at 135-20 39th Ave., beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.
Various governmental and quasi-governmental agencies seeking employees will include: the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the NYPD, the FDNY and others, according to Martha Florez-Vazquez, executive director of the nonprofit.
The agencies will be accepting resumes and answering questions about career opportunities, she said.
