FLUSHING — A two-month-old pit bull terrier with great, big puppy dog eyes and floppy ears that could warm the most cynical heart is on the mend after New York’s Bravest pulled her from a burning building.

Doctors and veterinarians at the BluePearl animal hospital in Forest Hills said the little heart-breaker was brought in by firefighters who saved her from the sixth floor of a burning apartment building on Parsons Boulevard in Flushing Tuesday.

The staff said the pup’s hair was singed by the fire and she is being treated with oxygen for smoke inhalation.

If no owner comes forward to claim the puppy, the hospital’s staff will attempt to find her a home.

According to FDNY officials, several puppies died in the fire and two additional puppies were taken to another local animal hospital.
