Two Queens mothers were killed in separate hit-and-run incidents in the borough Wednesday night.

Just before 6 p.m., 38-year-old Sheena Mathew was hit by a car traveling east as she was crossing at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Little Neck Parkway just a few blocks from her Floral Park home, according to the police.

The car fled the scene and Mathew was taken to North Shore University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Mathew was married with two young children and an active member of the St. Gregorio’s Malankara church in New Hyde Park. Friends and loved ones planned a candlelight memorial for 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the intersection where she died.

About an hour later Maria Beria, 30, was hit outside her South Jamaica home as she was getting into her car to give her sister a lift to their parents’ house.

Beria, a mother of three, had walked across 111th Avenue near 147th Street to her car when a white vehicle heading west struck her and then left the scene, police said.

She was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to the police.

Police were investigating both incidents and no arrests had been made.
