LONG ISLAND CITY — A Maspeth woman was struck and killed Tuesday as she crossed a busy intersection within the 108th Precinct, police said.

Juliana Busto, 22, was walking across Laurel Hill Boulevard where it intersects with 47th Avenue around 11:16 p.m. when a westbound 2002 Chevy Avalanche drove into her, the New York Police Department said.

Emergency responders immediately took Busto to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver remained on the scene and an investigation was ongoing, according to the NYPD.
