Woman’s pocketbook stolen in Astoria eatery: Police

ASTORIA — Police have released footage of a woman wanted in connection with a pocketbook theft inside a Steinway Street fast food restaurant, according to the NYPD.

A woman patronizing an Astoria McDonald’s, at 31-67 Steinway St., noticed that her handbag was missing at around 5 p.m. Feb. 3, according to the NYPD. She had placed the handbag on the back of her chair.

The woman’s credit card was later used inside a Brooklyn shopping center, according to police, who released surveillance footage showing the suspect.
