Woman in hospital after being hit by car: FDNY

Police investigate one of two 2011 accidents on Queens Plaza South near the Queensboro Bridge.

LONG ISLAND CITY — A pedestrian was taken to Elmhurst Hospital after she was struck by a vehicle near the Queensboro Bridge early Tuesday morning, the FDNY said.

The Breaking News Network reported that the accident occurred near the intersection of Queens Plaza North and 28th Street in Long Island City at about 6:15 a.m.

This is near the location where two accidents took place a week apart in 2011 with eeiry similar circumstances.
