FLUSHING — Police were looking for a man who knocked down an elderly woman and tried to rob her, the NYPD said.

Authorities said the subject is an Asian man about 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-2 with pocked skin. On Jan. 7 at 4:40 p.m. near Kissena Boulevard and Beech Avenue, he pushed a 76-year-old woman to the ground and tried to take something from her, police said. The woman received minor injuries in the attack, police said.

When that did not work, the suspect tried to steal from a 53-year-old woman, but this was also not successful and he ran away, police said.

When last seen, the perpetrator wore a tan bubble jacket, tan pants and dark sneakers, police said.
