JACKSON HEIGHTS – Police asked for the public’s help in locating suspects wanted for two similar incidents within the 115th Precinct, the NYPD said.

Four suspects, all Hispanic, entered a basement apartment with a 13-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy inside through an unlocked front door on July 23 around 5:15 p.m. and demanded money and property, the NYPD said. One was armed with a black firearm, police said.

Cops said the suspects took an undetermined amount of money and jewelry and fled the location. There were no injuries, police said.

Days later, police said two suspects believed to be part of the same group knocked on the same basement apartment door while armed. The two posed as cops and then zip-tied their victims, a 35-year-old man and 26-year-old man, before a struggle left one suspect shot in the leg, the NYPD said.

The suspects fled empty handed and the victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and listed in stable condition, police said.

Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging on to the Crime Stoppers website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
