A Brooklyn man riding a bicycle through Howard Beach was killed last week after an SUV struck him, police said.

Gary Zammett, of Canarsie, was traveling through the intersection of 160th and 84th streets on Wednesday at about 6:25 p.m.

A driver in an SUV making a left turn onto 160th street hit Zammett and seriously injured him, NYPD said.

Zammett was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.

The SUV driver stayed at the scene and is facing no charges, according to police.

Karyn Petersen, the district manager of Community Board 10, said it was hard to comment about the safety of the intersection, which is a four-way stop, because she has not received any complaints about it or requests for stop lights from the community.

She still has not received any requests since the accident, she said.

Community Board 10 encompasses Howard Beach, Ozone Park, South Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Tudor Village and Lindenwood.
