Rich Hill man dies in motorcycle crash: NYPD

RICHMOND HILL — A Richmond Hill man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding struck a parked car in Brooklyn last week, police said.

Eric Zaman, 33, was riding a 2001 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on Jamaica Avenue in Kings County just before 8:30 p.m. Aug. 15 when he struck a parked 2008 Honda Accord from behind, according to the NYPD.

The Honda was unoccupied at the time, and after EMS responded to the scene Zaman was taken to a Brooklyn hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

At the time of the incident, police were following a group of bikers unaffiliated with Zaman, the New York Post reported, when the Richmond Hill man skidded out and hit the parked car.
