Flushing, Sunnyside hit in city robberies: NYPD

SUNNYSIDE — A string of 28 different robberies throughout the city included incidents in Sunnyside and Flushing, the Police Department said.

The robberies occurred between May and August between Manhattan and Queens, cops said, including the May 15 robbery at the Shorna Variety and Grocery, on 48th Street, within the 114th Precinct, the NYPD said.

The Police Department described one suspect as a 6-foot-tall Hispanic man weighing between 180 and 200 pounds and the second suspect about the same, but with a tattoo on his left forearm.
