New express bus to run from Woodside to LaGuardia

By Philip Newman

The MTA Sunday will inaugurate a new super express bus to provide a faster route for travelers going to LaGuardia airport.

The Q70, a Select Bus Service with riders paying before boarding, will operate from Woodside-61st Street station stopping only at the Jackson Heights Roosevelt Ave. hub en route to La Guardia. The new airport express will run 24 hours, seven days a week.

Transit officials said that as result of the changes to the Q70, the Q33, a local bus, will terminate outside LaGuardia Airport on 95th Street at Ditmars Boulevard. This shortens the Q33 and will avoid redundant service betweeen La Guardia and Jackson Heights,

The amended Q33 will still operate 24 hours, seven days.

The MTA also will start up the B32 bus Sunday between Williamsburg Bridge Plaza in Brooklyn and Court Square in Long Island City.
