City Councilwoman Julissa Ferreras (D-East Elmhurst) and her boyfriend Aaron Copeland welcomed a baby boy into the world last week. On Sept. 11 at 11:55 a.m. she gave birth to Julian Aaron Copeland.

“We are so blessed by the arrival of Julian, who we named after my father,” Ferreras said in a statement. “We are all doing well and enjoying these early days together. We wanted to thank our neighbors and friends for all the kind wishes we’ve received.”

Ferreras represents the 21st City Council District, which encompasses Elmhurst, East Elmhurst, Corona and Jackson Heights.
