Traffic backed up on LIE as Bravest respond to bus fire
By Christina Santucci

A bus fire snarled traffic on the eastbound Long Island Expressway service road Wednesday morning.

A spokesman for the Fire Department said a call about the blaze came in at 10:44 a.m., and firefighters were on scene four minutes later.

No one was injured in the incident, and the Bravest had the fire under control at 12:10 p.m.

Traffic along the Long Island Expressway was backed up for at least a mile heading eastbound as emergency responders addressed the burned MTA bus.
