WHITESTONE – A 27-year-old man was killed early Sunday when the motorcycle he was driving slammed into a Whitestone highway barrier at “Dead Man’s Curve,” police said.

Emergency responders were called to the northbound Cross Island Parkway where it meets with the Whitestone Expressway at about 5:30 a.m. and pronounced David Wilson of South Richmond Hill dead on the roadway, the NYPD said. Wilson’s 27-year-old male passenger, who was taken to Queens Hospital Center, was listed in stable condition and suffered abrasions to his body, police said.

Authorities believe Wilson lost control of the 2008 Suzuki motorcycle and ran into a barrier, the NYPD said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
