Cops report attempted rape at Queens College

FLUSHING — The Police Department asked for the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted for an attempted rape within the 107th Precinct.

The suspect followed his victim, a 23-year-old Asian woman, around 4:45 a.m. Nov. 1 and grabbed her by the throat before shoving her to the ground, the NYPD said. He then punched the woman in the head and tried to rape her, but fled when a witness heard the victim screaming for help and called the police, cops said.

Police described the suspect as a white man with a light complexion, between 20 and 30 years old, standing between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8 and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He had short dark hair and was seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans, cops said.
