John A. “Junior” Gotti, former boss of the Gambino crime family, suffered an abdomen stab wound in a Long Island drug store parking lot but declined to elaborate on the incident to law enforcement officials, according to police and legal sources.

Syosset Hospital sources said the hospital notified police after the 49-year-old Gotti showed up shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, saying he tried to break up a fight and suffered a stab wound in the process, sources said.

Gotti, son of the late Gambino chief John “Dapper Don” Gotti, declined to talk to police, according to law enforcement sources.

The incident allegedly occurred in the parking lot of a CVS pharmacy in Syosett, L.I.

Gotti was tried in the United States Court for the Southern District of New York four times on murder and racketeering charges but each trial ended in a hung jury.
