Police released surveillance images of a man they believe is a suspect in the attempted sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman near Queens College earlier this month.

The victim had been approached from behind and punched in the back of her head Nov. 1, as her attacker covered her mouth and threatened her, police said.

After she was pushed to the ground around Melbourne Avenue and Kissena Boulevard, the suspect tried to remove her undergarments, the NYPD said.

But, a passerby noticed what was happening and yelled at the suspect, who was described as a white man between 20 and 30 years old, police said.

Detectives later managed to retrieve a surveillance photo of the suspect as he boarded a bus, and released the image Saturday in hopes that someone could identify him, according to cops.
