NYPD hunting for suspect in Ozone Park attempted rape

Police were looking for a man who allegedly got inside an Ozone Park apartment Friday morning, wielded a knife and tried to rape the woman inside before she fought back, the NYPD said.

Authorities said that once the suspect was inside the woman’s apartment at 10 a.m., he allegedly put a pocket knife to her neck and told her to undress.

After taking off her clothes, the victim and her attacker struggled for the knife, and the woman was able to wrestle it away, police said.

But, the suspect then allegedly took out a second pocket knife and cut her on her left wrist and right ring finger, before grabbing the first knife and fleeing, according to cops.

Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-10, 180-pound black man in his early 20s, who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white letters and blue long johns at the time of the attack.
