Man burglarizes 99 cent store in Woodhaven [With Video]

WOODHAVEN — Police released surveillance footage of a man using a metal tool to pry open a cash register while burglarizing a 99 cent store Dec. 14.

Authorities said the man entered Grand 99 Cents Store, at 85-08 Jamaica Ave., through the roof at about 6 a.m.

The surveillance footage shows a man wearing a lighter colored sweatshirt and a flashlight strapped to his head using what appears to be a crowbar to force open a cash register. Police said he left with an unknown amount of cash.
