Man killed after leaping in front of F train: Cops

BRIARWOOD — A man died after jumping in front of a subway train at a stop near the corner of Queens Boulevard and the Van Wyck Expressway Thursday, police said.

The man, thought to be a white male in his 40s, leapt to his death around 11 a.m. inside of the Briarwood-Van Wyck station, police said.

The man was hit by an F train traveling toward Jamaica Center, according to police. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
