NFL player arrested at LaGuardia on gun charge

EAST ELMHURST — An NFL lineman was arrested at LaGuardia Airport Feb. on suspicion he carried a .40-caliber handgun in his carry-on bag Feb. 19, the New York Post reported. The man, Da’Quan Bowers, who is a defensive end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, allegedly admitted he did not have a permit to carry the weapon, which he bought legally in Florida, in New York, the paper reported.
