ELMHURST — A young man entered a 69-year-old woman’s Elmhurst apartment on Valentine’s Day, restrained her and stole from her, police said.

Authorities said the man went into the apartment at 6:20 p.m., grabbed the woman, threw her on the floor and tied her up. He took clothing, jewels and cash before running from the scene, police said.

The NYPD describes the perpetrator, still at large, as a dark-skinned Hispanic man in his 20s who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
