The city’s first murder of the year happened inside a South Jamaica home, the NYPD said.

A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death inside of a house on 113th Avenue between Sutphin Boulevard and 155th Street early Wednesday, police said.

Authorities responded to the home at about 1:15 a.m. New Year’s Day and emergency responders pronounced the unidentified man, who had stab wounds in his chest, dead at the scene, according to cops.

An investigation into the man’s murder was ongoing, police said.
