WOODHAVEN — Police released video of two suspects wanted in a rash of Queens burglaries allegedly cashing in lottery tickets at a Brooklyn bodega Feb. 27, the NYPD said.
The Police Department said officers thought the pair may be involved in the theft of $10,100 in cash, $3,640 in phone cards and 30 lottery tickets from seven convenience stores in southern Queens over the past three months.
Police said the first reported incident occurred Dec. 14 with a break-in at Grand 99 Cents Store, at 85-08 Jamaica Ave. in Woodhaven, through the roof. Cash registers were pried open and cash was stolen, according to cops.
The NYPD said it believes the same suspects may be behind break-ins at Bravo Supermarket, at 108-54 Brewer Blvd. in Jamaica; Variety Store, at 77-10 101st Ave. in Ozone Park; 99 Cent Deal Store, at 120-10 Liberty Ave. in Richmond Hill; and Super Pioneer Supermarket, at 127-16 111th Ave. in South Ozone Park.
Police said the last burglary occurred Feb. 20, when $1,000 and $600 in phone cards were stolen from Pioneer Supermarket, at 90-01 Jamaica Ave. in Woodhaven.
