Man wanted in rash of Flushing grand larcenies: NYPD

By Alex Robinson

Police were looking for a man wanted in connection with a string of grand larcenies and attempted robberies that hit Flushing this winter.

The suspect allegedly approached his victims late at night or early in the morning on the street, police said, in a rash of incidents dating back to Nov. 3. He allegedly punched his male victims in the head before demanding they hand over their cell phones, the NYPD said, but only made off with a phone on one out of four attempted robberies.

He also allegedly snatched purses from the shoulders of five women in Flushing on different occasions before fleeing, police said.

Police retrieved a photo of the suspect from a CVS Pharmacy’s security camera that showed him entering the store and allegedly used one of his victim’s credit cards to make a purchase.
