Woman threw coffee, punch at F train rider: NYPD

FOREST HILLS – Police were searching for a woman who allegedly tossed coffee on and punched a fellow straphanger in Forest Hills earlier this month, the NYPD said.

Authorities said the assault took place around 6 p.m. April 2 on an F train at the 71st Avenue-Continental Avenue station.

The suspect allegedly became angry after a woman bumped into her on the train, and then allegedly threw coffee in the straphanger’s face and punched her in the head, police said.

The 53-year-old victim received minor injuries during the attack, the NYPD said,

The suspect was described by authorities as a 5-foot-1 black who was wearing a black jacket.
