Astoria deli robbed of $30K: Police

ASTORIA — Police from the 114th Precinct were asking for the public’s help in finding suspects wanted in the robbery of a deli in Astoria, the NYPD said.

Police said two suspects went into the En-Express Deli, at 920 Main Ave., April 12.

The suspects approached a 17-year-old store employee and asked for help in the back of the stop before allegedly assaulting the workerand letting two other suspects into the store, the NYPD said.

One suspect acted as a lookout while the others allegedly stole nearly $30,000 from a lockbox before they fled, according to cops.

The worker suffered minor injuries in the robbery, police said.
