Suspect swiped $25K in prescription drugs in Whitestone carjacking: NYPD

By Alex Robinson

Police were searching for a man who allegedly stole $25,000 in prescription drugs from a delivery man in Whitestone last Friday, the NYPD said.

The suspect allegedly pulled a gun on the delivery man near the intersection of 150th Street and 14th Avenue at around 8 a.m. April 18 and forced him into the passenger seat of the blue 2000 Dodge Caravan he had been using to make his deliveries, according to cops. The suspect then got in and then allegedly drove the minivan to Yonkers, before kicking the delivery man out of his own vehicle, police said.

The man allegedly made off with the van and $25,000 in medicine that was inside the vehicle, the NYPD said.

Police described the suspect as a Spanish-speaking white man between 25 and 30 years old with a pock-marked face and bald head.
