MTA must prevent derailments

The recent subway derailment is a wake-up call for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to speed up track inspections to prevent another derailment from occurring.

The track that was damaged had only been installed in that tunnel recently. Something is not right here. Is the material used for steel rails up to code or not?

The MTA must immediately look into this. How many other tracks were newly installed throughout the subway system last year and might also fracture?

Hopefully, this will not portend more possible derailments.
